Mr. Good Enough
Maddie Mason just wants to find her Mr. Good Enough, but Mr. Perfect keeps getting in her way.
Maddie has aging ovaries and a shrinking dating pool. She never knew her grandparents, and time’s running out if she wants her kids to know theirs. So she’s turning to the dating website she created, MisterGoodEnough.com, to speed up her search for a baby daddy.
Word’s out that she’s desperate, and everyone in her crumbling hometown has an opinion about her love life. Everyone except Trent Sawyer. The fallen local hero’s in town to make amends with his family, and step one is buying Maddie’s house so he can give it back to his aunt. Maddie says she’s not selling, but Trent’s playing dirty. And he does dirty good.
Maddie doesn’t have time to waste on silly little things like lust and desire, but she can’t shake Trent out of her head. With more family problems than some reality TV stars, Trent’s hardly husband material, and he refuses to pollute the world with more of his gene pool. But MisterGoodEnough.com hasn’t yet proven its potential. What’s the worst that could happen if she has a little fling with Trent while her website’s still looking for her almost-ideal guy?
Turns out, love.
Is Mr. Perfect good enough for her after all?
MR. GOOD ENOUGH is a finalist in the 2012 Linda Howard Award of Excellence.
